Halvorson designed the streetscapes and roof gardens and renovated an existing plaza above the Star Market at the Prudential Center. Designed as an amenity for adjacent residential buildings, the roof garden features a shade pergola, walking paths, open gardens, and a variety of seating options.
Built entirely on structural deck, the design of the plantings and site improvements negotiated the challenges of soil depths, structural bearing capacities, and microclimatic conditions.
